Hillside Nursery began in 1990 in the hills of western Massachusetts, out of a love for and
a fascination with woodland wildflowers. After many years of being a regional
wholesale supplier to nurseries and botanical gardens in the Northeast,
Hillside now offers its line of Cypripedium orchids and selected woodland
perennial plants
directly to you for mail-order purchase.
We offer mature, flowering-sized,
nursery-propagated plants that are hardy and ready for the garden.
All of our lady-slippers orchids (Cypripedium) are raised from laboratory-cultured seedlings.

FALL SHIPPING 2010: Fall is our main shipping season and is the time that we have the largest selection of plants available. Over the years we have found fall to be a great time to ship and plant lady-slippers and the other woodland wildflowers we offer. At this time these spring-blooming plants are completely dormant and easily settle into their new homes.
