CHINESE COBRA LILY

Another Chinese species, this plant has very large tripartite leaves and large maroon striped flowers that look like a cobra's head. It comes up late and blooms in late June to July. It will offset quite freely forming a nice clump. Sometimes these corms take a year in garden soil before they will bloom.

Zones 5-8. 2-3 ft. Moist, well-drained soil. Needs good drainage. Shade to part shade.

  • The Medium plants are a bit smaller and may or may not bloom this spring.
  • The Large plants are expected to bloom this spring but it is not guaranteed.

  • The XX-Large plants are plants we usually use as stock plants. For every XXL purchased we will throw in 6-8 tiny offsets.
